Revolut bank feed for Xero: import Revolut statements as a live feed

Revolut Business has a native Xero feed; personal and standard Revolut accounts do not, and even on Business the feed starts the day you connect it. StatementClear turns the Revolut statements you can already export into live Xero bank feed lines, deduped and balance-checked before anything posts.

Revolut Business has a native Xero feed, and if it covers you, use it. The recurring searches come from everyone it does not cover: personal Revolut accounts used for business get no feed at all - a manual import every single month, not a one-off - and the card that quietly became the office spending card never stops generating statements. Upload those exports and StatementClear posts them into Xero as a live bank feed, deduped and balance-checked.

Where the native Revolut feed falls short

Revolut Business has a native Xero feed; personal and standard accounts do not. Even on Business, the feed runs from the day you connect it, so anything earlier still arrives the manual way.

Revolut's CSV exports carry two date columns, Started Date and Completed Date, and the ledger wants the completed one. The Fee column is the bigger trap: fees sit in their own column and are not included in Amount, but the Balance column reflects both, so an import that maps Amount alone drifts from the true balance by every fee charged. Exports also include rows with a State of REVERTED - transactions that never settled - which will wreck a running balance if they get posted. Each currency account exports separately, with foreign card spend already settled into the account currency. StatementClear's running-balance check catches all of this before anything reaches Xero.

The manual way, every month

  • Log in and export a statement (and hope the format didn't change)
  • Reformat columns, dates and signs until Xero's importer accepts it
  • Upload the CSV into the right account and pray nothing doubled up
  • Eyeball the balance, fix what broke, repeat next month

And after all that, it still isn't a feed - it's a one-off import you'll redo next month.

The StatementClear way: a real feed

Upload the statement and it posts into Xero as a live bank feed through Xero's Bank Feeds API - deduped, balance-checked and ready to reconcile. Not another file to import. Converters hand you a CSV; this arrives in Xero the way a bank feed does.

  1. Step 1

    Connect Xero

Link your org and pick the account that is missing transactions.

  2. Step 2

    Upload your Revolut statement

PDF, CSV or Excel - whatever you can export. Map the columns once and we remember the mapping.

  3. Step 3

    We check it first

Duplicates are skipped, the running balance is verified, and sign errors are caught before anything posts.

  4. Step 4

    It lands as a feed

Clean lines arrive in Xero through the Bank Feeds API, ready to reconcile.

Questions about Revolut and Xero

Not natively - personal Revolut accounts cannot connect to Xero's feed, so the standing answer has been a manual CSV import every month. StatementClear replaces that: upload the export and the lines post into Xero as a live feed, deduped and balance-checked. It also covers the history gap if you connected Revolut Business late, since the native feed only starts from the day you connect.

You map Revolut's columns once and StatementClear saves the mapping for every future upload. Before posting, it recomputes the running balance from your mapped amounts and compares it to Revolut's own Balance column - if unmapped fees or reverted rows would throw the account out, you find out then, not at reconciliation.

StatementClear deduplicates on upload, so lines it has already posted are dropped rather than posted twice. Month-end overlaps and accidental re-uploads are the normal case, not an error. The running-balance check runs on every upload as a second line of defence.

Your statements are encrypted in transit and at rest, and we never sell your data. StatementClear uses a statement for one job: posting feed lines into your Xero organisation through the Bank Feeds API. Nothing is shared beyond that.

Where this comes from

Everything above about what Xero's native feed covers, what its manual import accepts and how feed lines reach a bank account comes from Xero's own documentation. The relevant pages are below, so you can check the claim rather than take it.

  • About bank feedsXero's own account of which feeds exist, how they connect and what they do not cover.
  • Import a CSV bank statementThe manual import: the formats it accepts, and how it handles lines it has seen before.
