Your OptiPay facility has no Xero feed. Import the movement report as one.
OptiPay's Xero integration runs one way: it reads your receivables ledger so the platform can fund against invoices. No bank feed exists for the facility, so advances, collections, fees and charges never reach Xero. StatementClear posts the availability movement report in as live feed lines.
An OptiPay facility moves money constantly - advances drawn down, debtor payments collected, fees and charges deducted inside the account - and none of it reaches Xero on its own. So every month someone exports the movement report and rebuilds the facility in the books by hand. StatementClear turns that same export into a live bank feed in Xero, deduped, balance-checked and ready to reconcile.

Why your OptiPay facility has no Xero feed
OptiPay lists a Xero integration, but it works in the other direction: it connects your receivables ledger so the platform can fund against your invoices - data flows out of Xero, not in. No bank feed exists for the facility itself, so the advances, collections, fees and charges moving through your OptiPay account never arrive in Xero on their own.
OptiPay's exports are built for running your facility, not your bookkeeping. The platform tracks availability - the headroom left to draw - alongside the actual movements, and its availability movement report comes out as a spreadsheet whose columns don't line up with what Xero's importer expects: charges sit in their own columns rather than as signed amounts, and there is no running balance to check against. StatementClear handles real OptiPay exports today: map the columns once - there is an "all money out" option built for charge-only files like these - direction is applied from your organisation's perspective rather than the funder's, a sign-flip check catches a reversed mapping before anything posts, and the mapping is remembered so next month's upload just works.
The manual way, every month
- Log in and export a statement (and hope the format didn't change)
- Reformat columns, dates and signs until Xero's importer accepts it
- Upload the CSV into the right account and pray nothing doubled up
- Eyeball the balance, fix what broke, repeat next month
And after all that, it still isn't a feed - it's a one-off import you'll redo next month.
The StatementClear way: a real feed
Upload the statement and it posts into Xero as a live bank feed through Xero's Bank Feeds API - deduped, balance-checked and ready to reconcile. Not another file to import. Converters hand you a CSV; this arrives in Xero the way a bank feed does.
- Step 1
Connect Xero
Link your org and pick the account that is missing transactions.
- Step 2
Upload your OptiPay statement
PDF, CSV or Excel - whatever you can export. Map the columns once and we remember the mapping.
- Step 3
We check it first
Duplicates are skipped, the running balance is verified, and sign errors are caught before anything posts.
- Step 4
It lands as a feed
Clean lines arrive in Xero through the Bank Feeds API, ready to reconcile.

Everything above about what Xero's native feed covers, what its manual import accepts and how feed lines reach a bank account comes from Xero's own documentation. The relevant pages are below, so you can check the claim rather than take it.
