N26 has no Xero bank feed. Import N26 statements as one instead.

Xero lists no native N26 feed in any market and none has been announced: N26 left the UK in 2020 and the US in 2022, and Xero's direct feed coverage does not reach N26's eurozone markets. StatementClear posts the N26 CSV into Xero as live bank feed lines instead.

N26 sits in a blind spot: a eurozone bank Xero cannot feed, used by exactly the kind of freelancers and small companies who keep their books in Xero. Every month that means downloading the CSV, reshaping it into something Xero accepts and importing it by hand, with no balance column to prove you got it all. StatementClear takes the same export and posts it into Xero as a live bank feed instead - deduped, sign-checked and ready to reconcile.

Why N26 has no native Xero feed

Xero currently lists no native feed for N26 in any market, and none has been announced: N26 left the UK in 2020 and the US in 2022, and Xero's direct feed coverage does not reach N26's eurozone home markets. For now, manual export is the only native route.

N26's CSV export is clean but sparse in the one place Xero cares about: there is no running balance column, so a manual import gives you no arithmetic proof the month is complete. Amounts arrive as a single signed EUR column, with foreign card payments carrying three extra fields - original amount, original currency and exchange rate - that are easy to mangle in a hand-built import file. Spaces complicate it further: on paid plans a Space can have its own IBAN and its own activity, and internal moves between Spaces need treating as transfers, not spending. StatementClear maps the N26 columns once, keeps the mapping for every following month, runs sign and dedupe checks, and posts the result into Xero as feed lines rather than another file.

The manual way, every month

  • Log in and export a statement (and hope the format didn't change)
  • Reformat columns, dates and signs until Xero's importer accepts it
  • Upload the CSV into the right account and pray nothing doubled up
  • Eyeball the balance, fix what broke, repeat next month

And after all that, it still isn't a feed - it's a one-off import you'll redo next month.

The StatementClear way: a real feed

Upload the statement and it posts into Xero as a live bank feed through Xero's Bank Feeds API - deduped, balance-checked and ready to reconcile. Not another file to import. Converters hand you a CSV; this arrives in Xero the way a bank feed does.

  1. Step 1

    Connect Xero

Link your org and pick the account that is missing transactions.

  2. Step 2

    Upload your N26 statement

PDF, CSV or Excel - whatever you can export. Map the columns once and we remember the mapping.

  3. Step 3

    We check it first

Duplicates are skipped, the running balance is verified, and sign errors are caught before anything posts.

  4. Step 4

    It lands as a feed

Clean lines arrive in Xero through the Bank Feeds API, ready to reconcile.

Questions about N26 and Xero

Nothing has been announced, and the geography argues against it: N26 left the UK in 2020 and the US in 2022, and Xero's feed coverage does not extend to N26's eurozone home markets. Waiting is not a plan - StatementClear exists for exactly this kind of account.

You map the columns once - the signed EUR amount is the figure that posts into Xero, and the mapping is saved for every future upload. Your Xero org needs a EUR bank account for the lines to land in, which may mean enabling multi-currency if EUR is not your base currency.

Where a statement carries running balances, StatementClear verifies them line by line; N26's CSV export has none, so the sign checks and dedupe do the guarding instead. Flipped debits and credits get caught before posting, and an overlapping re-export never posts twice.

The standard CSV account statement from N26's web app, for the period you need. Column names and date order vary by locale, so you map them once and the mapping is remembered for every upload after that.

Where this comes from

Everything above about what Xero's native feed covers, what its manual import accepts and how feed lines reach a bank account comes from Xero's own documentation. The relevant pages are below, so you can check the claim rather than take it.
