Why CAF Bank has no native Xero feed

CAF Bank has no Xero bank feed at all. It has been the most-requested missing feed on Xero's product ideas forum for years - hundreds of votes from charity treasurers and bookkeepers - and as of late 2025 Xero's own reply was that feeds depend on third-party integrators and it cannot commit to a timeline.

Charity books make the gap worse than it sounds. A CAF Cash account often sits alongside deposit accounts and separately held funds, each needing its own clean trail in Xero because trustees and independent examiners will actually read it. Every one of those accounts is a separate download and import each month, and a mis-keyed import tends to surface months later, at year end.

The manual way, every month

• Download the statement for the missing period
• Check the file format, dates and signed amounts
• Import into the correct Xero account and review overlaps
• Compare the closing balance and reconcile the lines

A usable CSV or OFX from the provider may be enough. Native PDF import is also available for eligible US and Canadian Xero organisations.

Review the statement, then choose how to import it

Preview the extraction, check the transactions, then send eligible lines through Xero's Bank Feeds API or download a Xero-ready CSV. Direct delivery supports dates within the last year and can be blocked by another provider's feed connection. Use CSV for older history. Overlap checks cover previous uploads to the same StatementClear feed, so also check any period already imported from other sources.
