Monzo bank feed for Xero: for personal accounts and Business Lite

The Monzo search usually starts the same way: the business runs through a personal account or Business Lite, and Xero's connect-your-bank screen has nothing for you, because Monzo's feed is reserved for Business Pro and Team. The fallback is a monthly CSV export, a reformat and a manual import that may or may not balance. Where the native Monzo feed falls short
Monzo has a native Xero feed, but only on the paid Business Pro and Team plans. Personal accounts, joint accounts and the free Business Lite plan cannot connect, which is exactly where many sole traders sit.
Monzo's CSV export is rich but quirky. There is no running balance column, so a hand-built import gives Xero no arithmetic proof the period is complete, and date and time arrive as separate columns. Every foreign purchase carries two amounts - the account-currency amount and the local spend amount with its own currency column - which is an easy mis-mapping when building an import file by hand. Transfers to and from Pots appear as ordinary-looking lines that need treating as transfers, not income or spend. StatementClear's saved mapping handles the format once, sign checks catch flipped debits and credits, and dedupe means an overlapping re-export never posts twice.
The manual way, every month
- Log in and export a statement (and hope the format didn't change)
- Reformat columns, dates and signs until Xero's importer accepts it

- Eyeball the balance, fix what broke, repeat next month
